Reflective Practice

What is reflective practice?

The workforce in remote Australia is exposed to unique psychological health, safety and wellbeing risks. Trauma impacts on the wellbeing of clients, and may even be part of the life experience of health professionals or human service workers.

Reflective practice sessions offer a non-judgmental, safe space to explore professional practice and develop personalised ways of responding to challenges.

It sustains resilience, safeguards client care and assists in professional development and growth.

Reflective practice sessions are available for groups or individuals. It is recommended these occur monthly or bi-monthly.

Sessions may be delivered face-to-face or online.

Reflective practice framework

Reflective sessions draw upon the practice models of Daphne Hewson and Michael Carroll.

Veritable practitioners and clinical supervisors have been using this style of professional supervision and support with our practitioner team for years.

We are now sharing this skill with individuals and teams to enrich their professional development, learning and resilience.
