One of our Veritable practitioners recently presented at a WA community of practice on the topic of ‘strategy’ in functional assessments. This was linked to the many different considerations that practitioners have to take into account when striving for high quality behaviour support outcomes. The above ‘PBS Pathway on a Page’ visual was part of what we shared with the community of practitioners in our explanation of how we look at strategy within the real life practice of behaviour support within the NDIS system.
Thanks to Karla Foster who created the scaffold for this visual as part of her social work placement at Veritable. We wave a sad goodbye to her as she heads off to new challenges and opportunities in her new home state. What a pleasure it has been having Karla in our team, helping guide our practice with fresh eyes, strategic thinking, a curious mind, and a stunning capacity for genuine connectedness with others.
